M I A M I

Beautiful beaches, hands down, make for some of my most favourite travel destinations. This past holiday, I was blessed with an incredible gift vacation to South Beach, Miami - thanks to the generous Mantella family. With the combination of the holidays, my birthday, New Year's Eve celebrations, and a wonderfully wild group of guests - this trip truly ended the year with a bang.

Here are some of my #MiamiMusts:

- MUST HAVE -

The Canadian label, Habits of Youth, keeps pumping out incredible menswear. Right before leaving on my trip I received some tees in the mail from James Knipe, founder and designer of the label. They were immediately packed in my cases and I wore them with Canadian pride.

- MUST DO -

When I think of South Beach, I think of impeccable beach bodies frolicking in the sand and intimidating muscle jocks walking up and down the strip. However, the South Beach boardwalk is filled with people of all ages, sizes, and fitness levels, so you don't need to feel intimidated to throw on your running shoes and join in on the fun. Running makes up a big part of my cardio workouts in a week and I was able to run most mornings in Miami!

- MUST SEE -

Miami boasts some stunning views. Whether it is taking in the architecture along Collins Ave, the beautiful palm trees and the shadows they cast or just gazing out to the ocean from The Fontaine Bleau Miami, my eyes were in for a treat. Just make sure you have on a stylish pair of sunglasses - the sun means business in Miami.

- MUST EAT -

If there is one thing I continuously forget, it's to take pictures of food and restaurants. Maybe it's because I'm always two drinks in or because I'm thinking of eating my food and not photographing it. Regardless, some standouts from my week in Miami were The Forge Steakhouse, Hakkasan restaurant for NYE in The FontaineBleau hotel, and the cute and extremely delicious Tequiztlan Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar. #nomnomnom
